Whilst renting with X1

We have made some changes and amendments to the fees associated with Letting a property here at X1 Lettings.

We want to make sure that these changes are as clear as possible to our residents – whether you are currently living with X1 or looking to move in the future.

With this in mind, you can find a list of our fees by reading further down the page. We’ve even added the booklets online so you can download them and read them at your own leisure.

Fees Prior to Moving In

There may be some fees which are charged prior to your move in whether you are moving forward with a student or residential tenancy.

Student Applications

Fees payable (charged to tenant) prior to move in are:

  • £160 service charge (non refundable and covers aspects during your tenancy such as communal cleaning, 24 hour CCTV, onsite security)
  • £155 deposit (refundable at end of tenancy- as per damages- and protected by the DPS)
Residential Applications

Fees payable (charged to tenant) prior to move in are:

  • £175 booking fee (non refundable)
  • UK Tenant Data Referencing Fee (£120+ dependant on circumstance)
  • Deposit – equal to the first months rent (refundable at end of tenancy- as per damages- and protected by the DPS)
